About Professor Liu Lihong:

Professor Liu Lihong was born in 1958. He is the first doctor in Guangxi province to hold a Ph.D. in TCM and is one of China’s recognized famous doctors. At present he serves as a professor for TCM foundations in Guangxi TCM University. He specializes in using classical formulas in treating hard-to-treat diseases. He wrote two famous books <Novel Thought of TCM- Si Kao Zhongyi> and <Opening the Door of TCM- Kai Qi Zhongyi Zhi Men>. From the two <Novel Thought of TCM> gave birth to a new trend in China’s modern TCM world, namely ‘the pursuit and rebirth of TCM classics’. After reading his book, one of China’s most famous doctors, professor Deng Tieshou, praised Liu: “I am not lonely on my path, there is another person to carry the tradition of TCM”.

Liu Lihong studied in Guangxi TCM school from 1978～1983. From 1983～1986 he served on faculty of this school in the Wen Bing research department. From 1986～1989 he completed his master’s degree in TCM at the famed Chegdu University of TCM while studying under professor Chen Zhiheng. In 1989～1992 Liu completed his Ph.D. in Nanjing TCM university under professor Chen Yiren. In 1992 he returned to his base university in Guangxi to teach and research TCM foundations and classics. After graduation of his bachelor’s degree he followed his teacher Li Yangbo for seven years long, two out of which physically living with his teacher. This was a traditional way of teacher-disciple relationship that was practiced for many generations in China. Additionally, under two teachers Wang Qinyu and Zeng Basheng, he studied the book of changes (Yi Jing) and Daoism. Being proficient in many aspects of Chinese culture set his foundations to become one of China’s most celebrated TCM teachers. In 1997 he was granted the position of a professor.

刘力红教授介绍

刘力红，1958年生，广西首位中医博士，现任广西中医学院基础医学院教师，经典中医临床研究所首席教授，善用中医传统经典方剂治疗疑难病症。著有专著《思考中医》、《开启中医之门》及学术论文３０余篇。其中《思考中医》在中医界掀起了一股“重视经典、学习经典”的热潮。著名中医药学家邓铁涛教授看到此书后，盛赞：“吾道不孤，后继有人矣”。

1978～1983年就读于广西中医学院，1983～1986年留本院温病教研室任教，1986～1989年于成都中医学院攻读硕士学位，师从陈治恒教授，1989～1992年于南京中医学院攻读博士学位，师从陈亦人教授。1992年获医学博士学位。同年回广西中医学院中医临床基础教研室，从事《伤寒论》教学、临床、科研至今。曾于本科毕业后随先师李阳波习医达七年之久。其中有两年时间与先师同吃同住，亲历了传统的师徒生活，于传统文化的很多领域皆受到较为深广的熏陶，为今后的研习打下了重要的基础。随后又随王庆余及曾邕生等师修习传统之易道医学。1997年晋升教授.
