The Yellow Emperor Classics

The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine. This book systematized and consolidated ancient medical experience and theory into one compendium. Using the philosophical ideologies of Yin, Yang and the Five Elements. The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine demonstrated that the human body is an organic whole, and that its health and illness is intimately connected to the natural environment. It expounds on meridian theory, as well as many other issues, such as, physiology, pathology, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, acupuncture and the use of materia medica, etc.

The opening chapter of the Yellow Emperor Classics states; “The yellow emperor asked; “There are some people who get old and can still bear children. How is this possible? His doctor Qibo answered: These people preserved their longevity well, their energy was never obstructed and their kidneys energy was always full. Despite that these people who are fertile still have an age limit, which is eighty-eight for males and forty-nine for females. This is the age when the essence of heaven and earth dries out. The emperor asked: there are daoists who are over a hundred and can still bear children. How is this possible? Qibo replied: this is because people who follow the Dao can become old and keep their body in a perfect shape. Even though they are old they can still bear children.”

Two thousand years ago, the ancient Chinese doctors realized that a woman can be fertile until she is 49 years old and even older if she conforms to nature (or follows the Dao as they called it). Should you still feel that you run out of time if you are only 40? Choosing a natural solution to conform to nature will improve chances of conception considerably.
